DR SKINNER'S THERAPY APPROACHES

EMOTIONALLY-FOCUSED

Healing in our relationships with others comes when we learn to have healthy attachment bonds.

EMDR

Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing has been found to be one of the most important models available to treat trauma.

MINDFULNESS

Based on research of how to slow down the anxious mind, mindfulness is incorporated into the healing and recovery process.

POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

Healing and recovery are more effective when we learn how to incorporate positive elements and healthy habits into therapy.

Over the years, Dr. Skinner and his team have found the greatest outcomes are made possible through between-session work.

From these learnings, Dr. Skinner led the expansion of Addo Recovery's services into several free online communities that provide Addo's clients - and thousands more - with courses and content to utilize in-between therapy sessions or on their own time. Topics cover betrayal trauma, sexually compulsive behaviors, infidelity, anxiety, depression, loss, and how parents can support their child's mental health. Dr. Skinner is a regular contributor to these communities in the way of leading webinars, recording new content, facilitating virtual discussion groups, and more.

In early 2022, Dr. Skinner and his team launched a new digital platform called Noble. Through the app, clients can access therapist-created, researched-backed Therapy Roadmaps, video assignments, journaling prompts, self-assessments, and more - all focused on their specific struggles and goals. Not only can clients benefit from quality between-session support, content, and accountability, it also helps mental health professionals reach more clients in less time, make an additional source of income, and reduce burnout.
